A Western Federation of Musicians (AFM) occurs as labor union of professional musicians in the United States and Canada. One of the best known actions per AFM was a ban in totally commercial recording by members in the 1940s in order to pressure record companies to make the better arrangement for paying royalties to recording creative person.
